Popularly known as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, Anjneri
Hill is a scenic village with spectacular history and mythological significance.
This spiritual spot lies between Nashik
and Tribakeshwar and is one of the exquisite attractions of Maharashtra. It is also a revered trekking point, takes about an hour and a half to reach Anjneri Hill from the plateau. The trail leads to a magnificent trekking adventure through diverse sceneries of Anjaneri Lake, caves, waterfalls, healing Lake, etc. As you reach the summit of the Anjaneri Hill, be ready to be greeted by verdant mountain ranges intermingled with spectacular dense forests, ravishing rivulets and meandering paths.
The hilltop lodges the Temple of Anjani Mata, dedicated to Lord Hanuman’s mother. The temple is majestically constructed and is massive in shape. Two different ways go beyond the Anjaneri Mata Temple- one of them takes you to the Seeta cave where you can see striking carvings adorning the cave interiors. The other way takes you directly to the citadel of Anjaneri fort. Here a bigger Temple of Anjani Mata can be seen.
